Currently, we are recruiting Recreational Therapists for long-term contracts at correctional facilities in California. What you will be doing: Promote social interaction. Encourage positive and appropriate leisure activities. Prepare individuals for reintegration into the general population or other levels of treatment. Actively participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT). Coordinate therapy services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors, and others. Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience within the last three (3) years Driver's License or Passport Identification Graduation from an accredited college with a major in therapeutic recreation or recreation with an emphasis on therapeutic recreation. BLS (American Heart Association only) Education must include supervised fieldwork approved by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC). Other Information: Benefits Full-Time schedules available 10 hour shifts, No weekend work!
