Mortgage Loan Closer

Job Description:The Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of closing documents for residential and/or commercial mortgage loans. This role works closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and attorneys to coordinate and facilitate the timely and accurate closing of mortgage transactions.Key Responsibilities: Review loan documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.Prepare closing packages including Closing Disclosures (CDs), promissory notes, deeds of trust, and other related documents.Coordinate loan closings with attorneys.Ensure that all loan conditions are satisfied prior to funding.Communicate with borrowers, processors, underwriters, and external parties to resolve issues and answer questions.Verify that fees and charges are accurate and match the Loan Estimate (LE) and final CD.Confirm wire instructions and arrange for disbursement of loan funds.Review signed closing documents for accuracy and completeness before loan funding.Stay updated on current mortgage regulations, policies, and procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred.3+ years of experience in mortgage loan closing or a related field.Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance regulations, and TRID guidelines.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficient in loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans.
