The Outpatient Child Therapist is responsible for providing counseling to children 5-12 and their families. Responsible for providing high quality client care, displaying good skills in assessment, psycho-diagnosis, treatment planning, group and individual therapy, family therapy. Participates in all performance improvement hospital activities. Conducts individual, family and group therapy utilizing evidenced based practices targeted toward clients age 5-12 Displays good theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and good treatment techniques for each type of therapy. Completes psychosocial evaluations and other assessments on assigned patients in a timely fashion Displays good interviewing, diagnostic and reporting skills Functions as a client and family advocate at all times Documents observations in the client's charts, reflecting implementation of the treatment plan. Functions as an integral part of the treatment team Qualifications: Masters Degree in related field from an accredited university Must hold current Oklahoma LPC, LCSW, OR LMFT license Must have training and experience related to clients age 5-12 such as TF-CBT, PCIT and Play Therapy CPR/First Aid Certification Aggression Management and Trauma Informed Ability to effectively communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
