Job Description: Pay Range: $50hr - $75hr The Electrical Engineering Contractor will support product development through design, implementation, verification, and integration of FPGA-based VHDL components. This role requires strong expertise in digital hardware design, reliability analysis, and compliance with aerospace and defense standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate across engineering teams, participate in design reviews, and contribute to high-reliability electronic system development. Experience: Minimum four years of direct experience with FPGA and VHDL design. Experience using ModelSim or Questa logic simulation tools. Experience with MATLAB and Simulink. Experience with standard streaming and memory-mapped interfaces such as Avalon and AMBA. Experience with FPGA vendor tools including Microchip, Client Altera, or client Xilinx. Experience in aerospace, defense, or government programs. Experience performing electrical stress and derating analysis, FMECA, reliability predictions, fault tree analysis, and system hazard analysis. Experience reading and analyzing electrical schematics. Responsibilities: Design, implement, verify, and integrate VHDL components for FPGA-based systems. nalyze component synthesis, timing constraints, and clock domain crossings. Participate in VHDL peer reviews and internal design evaluations. Deliver technical presentations and participate in internal design reviews. Perform electrical stress analysis, reliability analysis, and hazard analysis in accordance with industry standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering process enhancements. Collaborate with manufacturing, assembly, and test teams to ensure design for manufacturability and reliability. Contribute to project planning, task estimation, and technical documentation. Requirement/Must Have: ssociate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering with required years of related experience. Proficiency in FPGA and VHDL design with simulation and vendor tool experience. Two or more years of experience performing reliability and hazard analysis under military or industry standards. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. bility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Should Have: Experience with NAND, NOR, DDR memory interfaces, and high-speed serial interfaces. Experience with GigE, 10GigE, GigE Vision, SERDES, LVDS, RS-422, I2C, and SPI. Experience in design for test, quality, reliability, manufacturability, and EMC. Experience working in Agile Scrum development environments. Skills: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
