The Nurse Manager Operating Room will lead surgical services within a modern community hospital of approximately 50 beds featuring 7 procedure rooms: 4 core ORs, 1 dedicated GI suite, 1 endoscopy suite, and 1 cesarean section suite. The Perioperative Nurse Manager will steer efficient case flow, supports diverse specialties, and advances evidence-based practices that strengthen safety, throughput, and teamwork for the Nurse Manager Operating Room portfolio. The Nurse Manager Operating Room reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and works closely with experienced charge nurses, surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and a highly engaged nursing team. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing Pre-Op, Intra-Op, PACU, and Sterile Processing, with seven direct reports and responsibility for staffing and scheduling optimization, onboarding and AORN-aligned education, and supporting CNOR growth. The manager drives key quality metrics such as first case on time starts, turnover efficiency, and SSI prevention, while ensuring regulatory readiness, budget stewardship, strong surgeon relations, preference card accuracy, and a collaborative shared governance environment, all while maintaining accountability for excellent patient outcomes and a high performing perioperative team. The Nurse Manager Operating Room is based in scenic southeastern Minnesota, a region known for its dramatic bluffs, winding trails, and sparkling waterways.
