Submit Your Application Position Description This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful execution of complex and large-scale construction projects. The Project Manager will provide strategic direction, manage resources, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and quality standards. This role requires 3-5 years experience in project management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of highway heavy construction processes. Responsibilities: Project Planning and Strategy: Develop project strategies and plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Lead the development of project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Team Leadership and Management: Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure successful project execution. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and resolving issues. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations. Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, closely monitoring costs, expenses, and cash flow. Implement effective cost control measures to maximize project profitability. Analyze project financial performance, identify deviations from budget, and implement corrective actions as required. Quality Assurance and Safety: Oversee the implementation of quality control processes, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety throughout the project. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality or safety concerns promptly. Project Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and project records. Prepare detailed and timely reports on project progress, financial performance, and other key metrics. Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management, highlighting risks, challenges, and recommendations. Position Requirements Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree: Typically in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree can be advantageous. Professional Certifications: Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) can be highly beneficial. Experience:Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in highway and heavy construction, including significant time in a project management role. Project Size: Experience managing large-scale projects with varying budgets. Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams, managing subcontractors, and working with stakeholders. Skills:Project Management: Expertise in planning, executing, and closing projects within scope, on time, and within budget. Proficiency with project management software and tools. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, highway design, construction methods, and heavy equipment. Budget Management: Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and financial oversight. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to highway construction. Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Personal Attributes:Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other professionals. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and prepare reports. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to resolve issues and make decisions under pressure. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications:Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications or training in project management, construction techniques, or related fields. Industry Experience: Prior experience with specific types of highway projects (e.g., bridge construction, tunnel excavation) can be advantageous.
