Who You Are: The Digital Communications Specialist at Tri County Tech is a full-time role responsible for guiding and executing the institution's digital communications strategy across external and internal platforms. This position blends creativity and organization to produce clear, consistent, and high quality messaging that advances Tri County Tech's mission and priorities, while also supporting daily communication needs and ensuring strong execution of projects and workflow processes. The specialist translates institutional initiatives, student success stories, and program highlights into compelling digital content; manages multi-channel communication efforts; and produces/utilizes high-quality photography, visual design, and video to strengthen engagement. This role plays a central part in shaping how Tri County Tech is seen and understood by students, staff, partners, and the community. What You'll Possess Qualified Candidates Will: Hold an associate's degree in marketing, graphic design, journalism, communications, or a related field is required. A high school diploma with a technology center certificate and relevant professional experience may be considered. Demonstrate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom), CapCut (or similar video editing software), Google Analytics, social media advertising, and Meta Business Suite. Be proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office applications. Be detail-oriented and organized. You'll simultaneously work on several tasks related to all things TCT and manage them with ease. You're a project planner who meets deadlines. Deliver exceptional customer service. You'll exceed expectations and have excellent follow-up skills. Exhibit a passion about all things marketing and branding. Quickly adopt new marketing technology and enjoy finding the latest martech tools. Take initiative, seek out projects, and openly accept other duties as assigned. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and understand that words do matter. Thrive on the spark that comes from collaboration that leads to innovation and enjoy a team environment. What You'll Do Specialists focus on accomplishing a specific function within a workgroup and have expertise/education in a specialized area or niche. Specialists are subject matter experts with in-depth knowledge and skills related to their profession or industry. Their responsibilities may involve more specialized tasks such as research, analysis, limited project management, or technical support. Mostly task-oriented with limited cross-functional responsibilities and present-focused, a Specialist will operate with autonomy, accountability, and decision making in collaboration with their supervisor, while also bringing specialized knowledge to collaborative projects. Members of these groups must be willing to work as a team and handle multiple functions within their area of expertise. They implement change initiatives efficiently and effectively and have strong interpersonal communication skills. Essential Functions: Lead the planning, creation, and execution of digital communications across social media, email marketing, and other digital platforms. Support and coordinate internal communications, including newsletters, campus alerts, announcements, and strategic messaging. Develop and maintain a cohesive digital voice and brand presence across all channels. Capture and edit high-quality photography to document programs, events, and student experiences. Produce and edit video content to enhance storytelling and engagement (video editing experience preferred). Design engaging visuals using Adobe Creative Cloud to support campaigns and institutional initiatives. Write, proofread, and edit clear, engaging, and accurate content from both original ideas and leadership-provided information. Monitor digital trends and emerging platforms to keep content relevant and effective. Collect, analyze, and report engagement data to inform strategy and guide data-driven decisions. Assist with institutional events, including parades, commencement, and campus or community celebrations, managing logistics, timelines, vendors, and on site coordination to ensure a high quality experience aligned with Tri County Tech's mission and brand. Conduct and develop student and alumni interviews, including Student of the Month features and follow up success stories, translating insights into compelling content that supports recruitment, marketing, and community engagement efforts. Serve as a trusted communications partner to departments across campus. In other words, you'll be helping out on spontaneous projects and opportunities not listed above. Terms of Employment: Twelve months; salary to be established by the Board of Education. Evaluation: Performance evaluated by the Director of Marketing per Board policy.
