SUMMARY The Driver ("Conductor/a") creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant, and banquet guests by welcoming them to the hotel and safely parking their car in the hotel or local garage. This position also assists the Door Staff by opening the front door when not parking cars and assures that guests' departure is swift by retrieving guests' cars in a timely manner PAY & PERKS Compensation: $19.45 Earn $1000 for Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping, and $350 for all other roles. for each hired referral at any Evans Hotels property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Luxury Chauffeur Services: Provides safe, professional, and punctual transportation for guests within the local area, ensuring a Five-Diamond level of hospitality throughout the journey. Lobby Ambassador: Serves as a key face of the resort; maintains a welcoming presence at the front entrance, greeting guests with energy and enthusiasm while offering direction and assistance between rides. Vehicle Inspection & Safety: Performs comprehensive daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the luxury house car to ensure mechanical safety, proper fluid levels, and optimal performance. Pristine Vehicle Standards: Responsible for the constant "showroom ready" appearance of the vehicle. This includes proactive cleaning and detailing (interior and exterior) as soon as the car becomes soiled to maintain resort standards. Fuel & Fleet Management: Manages the vehicle's fuel levels, ensuring the house car is regularly refueled and ready for immediate guest use at all times. Fleet Stewardship: Monitors and reports any mechanical maintenance requirements or cosmetic repairs to the leadership team immediately to prevent service disruptions. Local Area Expert: Acts as a knowledgeable resource for guests during transport, providing curated recommendations for local attractions, dining, and the Torrey Pines area. Strategic Staging: Coordinates with the Front Office and Valet teams via radio to ensure the house car is positioned for maximum visibility and efficiency during peak guest arrival and departure times. Professionalism: Answer the department telephone with a friendly voice using professional telephone techniques and etiquette. Schedule and arrange transportation services for our guests. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team. QUALIFICATIONS At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience and/or training. A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement. Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required. Must have an unexpired and valid driver's license with no recent violations. Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges. Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs. The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq. The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment. The posted range does NOT include potential additional types of compensation, such as gratuities, service charges, commissions, or bonuses. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on qualifications and/or experience.
