Maintenance Supervisor

Loparex LLC is the world's largest manufacturer of extrusion base and silicone coated release liners for the converting industry. We have manufacturing operations throughout the U.S., Europe, China, and India. We are currently looking for a salaried Maintenance Supervisor for our Malvern, PA site. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the maintenance personnel in addition to planning and coordinating maintenance activities. This position reports to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.  JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED required, bachelor's or associate degree in a related field preferred5+ years' related experience as a maintenance supervisor in a labor union manufacturing environment or equivalent work experience.Leadership, problem solving, team building.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate orally and in writing; ability to instruct employees one on one and in a group setting.Understanding of labor contract management. Computer literate: MS Office requiredExtensive knowledge of safe work practices, standard operating procedures, and conditions.Knowledge of plastics manufacturing/production, silicone coating, slitting, and printing preferredMust be able to stand/walk for up to 8 or more PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote safety by leading by example, participating in safety engagement, and encouraging the team to work safe each day and to follow all safety guidelines and procedures.Cultivate a culture focused on continuous improvement in safety performance.Lead the team by personal example with a positive attitude, setting the standards for the team.Coordinates shift operations through strong communications with Maintenance Staff, Maintenance & Engineering Manager, other Production Supervisors, Production Planning and hourly team members to coordinate the Maintenance activities & schedule.Contributes to good employee relations by assisting in selecting, training, and developing competent employees and maintaining the morale of the employees in the assigned department. Contributes to production of cost-effective products by providing Maintenance Support to sustain production equipment and facilities in working order.Assures that work orders and time reports are accurate and filed in a timely manner.Assures that work orders are reviewed and assigned to Maintenance personnel for completion.Contacts and assists in managing outside vendors to assist Maintenance personnel to perform work in house when personnel are not available or capable of performing.Coordinates with Purchasing & Maintenance Planner to obtain repair parts and stock repair parts for equipment repair.Assigns Preventative Maintenance duties/projects to Maintenance Personnel in order to maintain manufacturing equipment.Coordinates and assists Maintenance Personnel with diagnosing/repairing manufacturing equipment.Takes an active participating role in Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects, leading teams and supporting CI Leadership.Must be able to frequently walk throughout the manufacturing facility, including climbing stairs to all 5 levels at our 5 Blown Film Extruders to assess, assist, plan and manage the Maintenance Activities. Must be able to bend, squat, twist, sit, stand.
