In order to prepare parts for processing, the finishing operator performs no-carb masking, lot ID etching, load makeup. After heat treatment, the finishing operator performs blast cleaning operations as well as final packaging.Job Duties Responsibilities: Mask parts with no-carb masking paints to retard the carburization/hardening process in designated areas as specified by product prints and/or provided visual guidesSet up furnace loads by counting out specific quantities of parts per provided order instructionsEtch parts with order information in designated areas to provide heat treat lot traceability. This may be performed before or after heat treat processing depending on specification.Place parts into heat treat alloy fixtures prepare loads for running in furnace, ensuring that load count part configuration is correct prior to loadingAssist in breaking down furnace loads after processingPerform final cleaning operations using either spinner/hanger, tumble, or table blast equipment as required by order instructionsPerform final counts on orders as parts are cleaned packaged, verifying any associated part ID markings (lot#, heat code, part#, etc.) t ensure that order quantities match the customer PO requirementsPlace parts back in customer packaging according to customer specificationsInspect all parts as they are handled for any types of damage - this is performed on both the front back end of processingAdvanced operators of this position will assist in final inspection functions at the request of shift supervisorsEnsure plant organization cleanliness The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and levels of the work performed by employees but are not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
