The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on Clients campus in Santa Rosa, CA exists to provide mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Clients industry leading electronic measurement equipment. Job Description:: As a machinist you will develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting edge machine tools such as Swiss Style Lathes, Single and Multi-Turret Lathes, and 3 to 5 axis Milling centers. Working closely with R&D on microwave applications, you will influence designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensure design for manufacturability, facilitate release and support production. Skills: Client is looking for a highly motivated individual with desire to learn advanced machining skills. This position will require a Career level Machinist with a knack for precision and detail. Must have the willingness to learn, strong teamwork, positive attitude, dedication and job flexibility are a must. In addition, you will interface with Engineering, Maintenance, and Management as well as production/NPI Schedulers. Experience with any/all the following is highly desired: 3 to 5 axis Milling Swiss Style Lathes Mill/Turn Machine Center Advanced Metrology CNC Programming/CAM Programming Software CAD/Solid Modeling Tool Grinding Interpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Education: High School Diploma Associates Degree or Journyman Machinist certification a plus.
