Our focus is creating longer-lasting, environmentally responsible roofing solutions that can withstand all weather conditions.Job Title: Health & Safety Manager - Manufacturing - Portland | Req ID: 15745 | HR Contact: Elizabeth Bertapelle | Location: Building Envelope - Corp Portland, ORABOUT THE ROLEThe Health and Safety Manager partners with plant leadership, frontline teams, and the Senior Health and Safety Manager to strengthen a proactive safety culture. This role ensures regulatory compliance, leads key safety programs, and serves as the primary on-site resource for all health and safety initiatives.Must have manufacturing experience.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGSafety Leadership & Culture: Champion a safety-first culture by engaging with employees, supervisors, and plant leadership to embed safe work practices into daily operations. Partner with plant leadership and the Senior Health and Safety Manager to develop and implement safety programs that align with company goals and regulatory requirements. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and other relevant health and safety standards. Conducts and oversees plant safety audits, risk assessments, and workplace hazard evaluations, recommending corrective measures as needed. Incident Prevention & Response Lead accident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. Coordinate and facilitate safety training programs for all employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Collaboration & Partnership Work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to address safety concerns and develop practical, effective solutions. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field is preferred. Three to five years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard assessments, and safety program implementation is essential. Experience in conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and developing corrective actions is required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
