Responsibilities Complete individualized patient evaluations and participate in developing and implementing individual care plans through collaboration with physicians and patient care teams, including patient and family. Provide, document and direct skilled and purposeful therapeutic care to progress the patient through their plan of care. Instruct and educate patient/family/caregivers in the use of therapy and compensatory rehabilitation in relation to their diagnosis. Prioritize caseload, determine patient care needs and coordinate with therapy and medical staff for appropriate assignments/handoff. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy credentialed from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
