Job Role: Manufacturing/Fabrication Engineer Location: Peoria, Illinois Remote/Onsite: Onsite Benefits: Medical,Dental,Vision, 4O1Kplan, PTO Job Type: Full Time/Contract Duration: Long term Project No. of positions: 01 Hiring Timeline: 2,3 weeks Job Summary Job Description & Skill Requirement: The Manufacturing/ Fabrication Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & can meet company objectives within the timelines specifically related to your assigned projects. Essential Responsibilities • Support Product Design for Automated welding work cell's and components. • Perform various weldments and fabrication processes for build content. • Program welding Cobot and robot systems. ABB, Fanuc, UR. • Read, develop and interpret mechanical diagrams for complex fixtures and system drawings. • Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems. • Support the development of hardware and software required for all automation solutions per specifications such as End of Arm tooling and fixtures. • Develop Bill of Materials for product builds. • Train technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment. • Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment • Travel 20% to client locations for system integration process. Qualifications/Requirements • Welding certification, B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent • experience in an engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in a Automotive or related industry. • Robot/Cobot Programming Capabilities. • Electrical experience is a plus Desired Characteristics • Strong oral and written communication skills • Capability to work in teams • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. • CAD, Solid Works proficiency.
