Position Type: Related Services (Special Education)/SEL Specialist (Social Worker/School Psychologist/Counselor) Date Posted: 2/18/2026 Location: Madison Elementary School (K-2) Job Summary: SEL Specialists shall perform such duties and responsibilities associated with the teaching profession, those outlined in District 69 policies, and as are required by the Illinois School Code. Substitute teachers doing daily or long-term assignments do not have a contract of employment for any guaranteed period of time. A long-term substitute teacher may be given an estimated timeline of the assignment; however, the beginning and end dates are subject to change due to District needs and satisfactory performance of the long-term substitute teacher. Daily and long-term substitute teachers are considered "at-will" employees and are not eligible to receive benefits.
