Seeking an experienced Business Analyst (contract) to support a critical systemsevaluation and implementation initiative. This role will act as a hands on consultant embedded with the project team to document, optimize, and standardize lab and related business processes; translate business needs into clear requirements; and support vendor selection and onboarding.This is a process heavy, business facing role, not a technical systems analyst. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in operational environments, facilitating workshops, and helping teams move from current state reality to a clear, scalable future state. Location: On site in St. Paul, MN Hourly Rate: $50-60/hr DOE Benefits: Versiqueoffers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, accident/critical illness insurance,MN ESST, MN PFML,and a401(k)with a company matchRole & Responsibilities:Business Process Documentation & Optimization Partner with lab, field, and operations stakeholders to document current state business processes (end to end workflows). Identify gaps, inefficiencies, handoff issues, and variability across locations. Facilitate working sessions to define future state processes that are scalable, standardized where appropriate, and practical for day to day use. Support process standardization efforts aligned with broader enterprise initiatives. Ensurework processes include compliance and safety standards, where applicable. Business Requirements Development Translate future state processes into clear, structured business requirements (functional, nonfunctional, reporting, data, integration considerations). Ensurerequirements are traceable, prioritized, and understandable by both business stakeholders and vendors. Maintain requirements documentation and support change control as understanding evolves. Vendor Selection & Support Support LIMS vendor evaluation and selection by aligning requirements to vendor capabilities. Assist with RFP/RFI inputs, vendor demos, and structured scoring from a business perspective. Help validate vendor assumptions against real operational workflows. Support onboarding and early implementation planning once a vendor is selected. Project & Change Support Work closely with the Project Manager and Change Manager to ensure process and requirements work stays aligned to scope, timeline, and adoption goals. Contribute to readiness, training, and transition considerations tied to new processes and systems. Serve as a bridge between business users and technical/system teams. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Process Consultant in complex operational environments. Strong background in business process documentation, analysis, and optimization. Experience supporting enterprise system selection and implementation (ERP, LIMS, manufacturing, lab, or operations systems). Proven ability to translate business needs into clear, structured requirements. Comfortable facilitating workshops and working directly with front line users and leaders. Preferred Experience Experience with laboratory operations, testing environments, or regulated workflows (LIMS experience strongly preferred). Exposure to field to lab workflows, quality systems, or operational data flows. Experience working in professional services, engineering, environmental, or technical services organizations. Familiarity with change management or adoption considerations during system implementations. Key Skills & Attributes Strong facilitation and listening skills.
