JOB TITLE: Director of Nursing, Clinical Partnerships BRAND: HCI / HCN-A/Corporate (as assigned) REPORTS TO: Chief Clinical Officer & VP of Clinical Services (CCO) FLSA STATUS: Full-time; Exempt SUMMARY The Director of Nursing, Clinical Partnerships is a uniquely senior, hybrid role that blends executive nursing credibility with strategic business development and partnership growth. This position leverages RN expertise to build trust with hospital leaders while executing high-impact sales strategies that grow Health Carousel's long-term workforce solutions. While holding the Director of Nursing title for client-facing authority, this role is not a traditional operational DON position. Instead, it acts as a clinical executive consultant who identifies workforce challenges, shapes staffing solutions, influences C-suite decisions, and leads the expansion of new and existing client partnerships. The Director of Nursing, Clinical Partnerships, works closely with Sales, Account Management, Clinical Operations, Recruitment, Marketing and Executive Leadership to deliver new business growth, meaningful expansions, and differentiated clinical value to clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Strategic Partnership Development & Sales Growth (Primary Function) - Responsibility for consultation and support in partnership with the sales force for driving new business acquisition and strategic expansion within assigned markets. - Support sales team in: Prospecting, engaging, and consulting with hospital and health system leaders (CNOs, COOs, CFOs, CHROs, Workforce Executives). - Support the Sales team in building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline using multiple outreach channels. - Develop compelling value propositions, proposals, and executive presentations as needed on sales execution. - Engage with the sales team on the full sales cycle from first contact through contract negotiation and deal closure. - Partner with internal teams to create innovative, client-specific workforce strategies. 2. Clinical Executive Leadership - Represent Health Carousel as the senior clinical voice during business development activities. - Use nursing expertise to build credibility with hospital clinical leaders. - Provide consultative insights around patient safety, quality, and staffing models. - Support Account Managers in retaining and expanding existing partnerships. - Collaborate with the CNO and clinical teams on escalations or remediation conversations. 3. Workforce Consulting & Solution Architecture - Conduct clinical workforce assessments to understand staffing gaps and strategic priorities. - Recommend data-backed workforce solutions aligned to client needs. - Serve as a trusted clinical consultant influencing executive decisions. - Contribute to the development of new service offerings based on market trends. 4. Client Relationship Management & Partnership Expansion - Cultivate long-term, trust-based relationships with clinical and administrative leaders. - Support renewal strategy, expansion planning, and troubleshooting escalations. - Participate in QBRs, onsite visits, and leadership meetings. - Maintain continuous communication to identify expansion opportunities. 5. Internal Collaboration & Leadership Influence - Work cross-functionally to ensure a unified, high-quality client experience. - Provide field intelligence and client feedback that informs market strategy. - Collaborate with the CNO to align messaging around clinical quality and differentiation. - Participate in organizational leadership meetings and strategic initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Required: - Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unencumbered license. - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. - Demonstrated success in sales, business development, or client partnerships. - Strong communication, relationship-building, and executive presence. - Ability to travel up to 60% for client meetings and conferences. Preferred: - Experience in healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or clinical operations. - Understanding of hospital structures, clinical workflows, and staffing models. - Experience presenting to C-suite or clinical executive audiences.
