Auto Auction Yard Attendant

This is a temp to hire job (after 520 hours) Pay: $19 Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm possible Saturdays Must have steeltoes and be able to work outside in all weather Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Yard Attendant at an auto auction, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, organized, and attractive outdoor environment. This energetic position involves supporting landscape and grounds maintenance activities, operating various tools and equipment, and ensuring the yard is clean, functional, and welcoming. Your proactive approach will help us deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and lawn care to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment including excavators, lawnmowers, trimmers, and snow plows to perform routine yard work. Remove snow from vehicles Labeling and placing labels on vehicles Conduct general yard cleanup by removing debris, trash, and fallen branches to keep the space tidy. Support seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or landscaping projects as needed to maintain year-round safety and aesthetics. Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping equipment enhances your ability to perform duties efficiently. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, or construction equipment such as excavators is advantageous. Knowledge of horticulture principles or tree care practices helps ensure healthy plant growth. Ability to operate snow plows or perform snow removal tasks during winter months is a plus. Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures when handling equipment or working around landscaping projects.
