Quality Control Inspector I

Company Description: Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies. Why Join Us? Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment Growth potential within the company What you'll do: Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies Inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive action for process, product, internal, and external customer concerns Perform other duties as assigned What we're looking for: A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented Good written and verbal communication skills Proficient in MS Office Suite Analytical/problem-solving capabilities Ability to take on a leadership role Works well under pressure Ability to work independently as well as in teams Possess a sense of urgency while performing tasks accurately Dependable, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and innovative Plastic Molding Technology does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters.
