HR Consultant - Talent Acquisition (TAP Team)Location: Hybrid in either: Columbus, OH (downtown) OR Des Moines, IA Schedule: Regular business hours (Columbus: 8:30am-5:00pm | Des Moines: 9:00am-6:00pm) Onsite: Tuesdays & Wednesdays | Remote: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays Pay: $46.03/hour Start: ASAP upon completion of onboarding Why Join This Team? What You'll Do Your work will focus on keeping recruiting operations smooth, compliant, and continuously improving. Some key responsibilities include: Serve as a first-line and escalation resource for operational questions from recruiters and TA leaders. Troubleshoot issues related to Workday Recruiting, candidate movement, start dates, assessments, and rehire eligibility. Analyze root causes, document findings, and recommend improvements. Support TA operations with data requests, documentation, and preparation of executive-ready materials. Maintain and enhance SOPs, workflows, job aids, and other internal documentation. Assist with Workday Recruiting enhancement requests, backlog coordination, and user acceptance testing. Contribute to cross-functional project work, ensuring clear tracking, coordination, and follow-through. What We're Looking For The right candidate will balance technical expertise with strong collaboration and customer service skills. Key qualifications include: Mindset & Skills: Continuous learning mindset, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving. Resourceful first, but comfortable asking for help when needed. Experience: HR practitioner experience with systems like Workday or PeopleSoft strongly preferred. Recruiting experience is a plus, but backgrounds in HR, compliance, process improvement, or continuous improvement are also a strong fit. Project management experience (sprint planning, portfolio management, Jira) preferred. Prior user acceptance testing (requirements writing, test plans) is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to flex when priorities shift, comfort presenting to a wide range of audiences (from associates to senior leaders). Background: 5+ years of progressive experience in business consulting, process analysis and design, performance improvement, or related areas.
