About the Role The Systems Administrator/Network Engineer is a critical on-site role responsible for maintaining and enhancing AeroSafe Global's core IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, and cloud connectivity. We are seeking a highly versatile professional who can seamlessly blend systems engineering, network administration, and Tier II technical support to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations across all company sites. This role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on, can make informed recommendations, execute projects from planning through deployment, and rapidly drive complex incidents to resolution. The Systems Administrator/Network Engineer will collaborate closely with the IT Manager, SOC, and Help Desk to maintain uptime, enforce cybersecurity controls, and deliver responsive support to business operations. Duties & Responsibilities Infrastructure & Network Administration Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, switches, and VPN connections. Administer and maintain Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory environments. Ensure system and network security through least privilege, segmentation, and patching. Manage IP addressing, VLAN configurations, DNS, DHCP, and routing. Support implementation of network monitoring and automation tools. Maintain documentation of network topology, configurations, and standards. Systems Engineering & Strategy Implement and maintain scalable, secure, and stable IT system. Support Microsoft Group Policy management, OS deployment, and backup/recovery operations. Perform system validation, patching, and performance optimization. Coordinate with the IT Manager on system lifecycle, capacity, and security updates. Administer and maintain virtualization platforms. Create and maintain accurate system and network documentation. Participate in change management, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning. Tier II Technical Support Provide second-level support for escalations from Help Desk technicians. Troubleshoot network, server, and workstation issues across multiple locations. Support software, IoT devices, and connectivity in warehouse/production environments. Provide mentorship to Tier I support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & AbilitiesStrong understanding of firewalls, switches, and VPN configurations. Proficiency in Microsoft Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Knowledge of virtualization (specifically VMware ESXi) and backup solutions (Veeam or equivalent). Understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, VLANs, and QoS. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills Familiarity with scripting or automation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or in a team setting. Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle escalations calmly and professionally. Participation in after-hours 24/7 on-call rotation. After hours and weekend work as required. Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in systems and network administration. Experience providing Tier II or Tier III technical support. Experience managing firewall and SD-WAN solutions; experience with Meraki is preferred. Experience with cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure). Microsoft or Cisco certifications preferred (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Meraki CMNA, CCNA). Travel: Travel to other company sites and/or customer sites is infrequent. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, will be required to sit and walk around; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls (some repetitive motion); reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
