Job DescriptionTitle: Quality Inspector Location: Bensenville, IL Hire Type: Direct Hire Shift: 1st Shift Compensation: $24- $27/hr. Benefits: Insurance (Medical/ Dental/ Health), Paid Time Off, PTO, and more! Must have Skill Set: Precision Measuring Equipment, Blueprint Reading, Close Tolerance Inspection. The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all parts, products, and manufacturing processes adhere strictly to established engineering standards and quality specifications. This individual performs high-precision inspections on components with complex or non-standard shapes, often working to extremely close tolerances. This role requires a blend of technical expertise with measuring instruments and the ability to work independently to maintain the integrity of the production cycle. Job Duties: Comply with all internal quality system procedures and documentation requirements. Inspect materials and finished products using fixed or variable measuring instruments to ensure conformance. Utilize engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals, and prototypes to verify product dimensions and specifications. Compare physical products with parts lists or sample models to confirm the completion and accuracy of assemblies. Identify and document irregularities, defects, or deviations from quality standards. Measure components and parts with unusual shapes or non-standard requirements, occasionally devising unique inspection procedures. Operate a variety of electronic and mechanical measuring instruments, including specialized gauges and tools. Communicate inspection results effectively with Management, Technical, and Production personnel. Maintain safety standards by wearing all necessary protective equipment and following shop policies. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of previous experience specifically as a Quality Inspector. Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment to check extremely close tolerances. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic shop math. Good visual acuity and manual dexterity for handling light to heavy materials. Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
