Job Title : Business Analysis Experience Required - 5+ Years Must Have Technical/Functional Skills Roles & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities to Focus Interview Questions On (BSA IT Role) 1. Incident & Alert Monitoring a. Continuously monitor AML and risk application alerts and dashboards. b. Identify system failures, data discrepancies, or delayed processing and initiate incident response. c. Assign unassigned tickets to appropriate support teams and track them to closure. 2. End-to-End Incident Coordination a. Act as the central IT coordinator during incidents, bridging Application Support, IT Operations, Infrastructure, Vendors, and Business teams. b. Ensure the right teams are engaged at the right time and dependencies are clearly communicated. 3. Business / LOB Communication a. Provide timely and structured updates to Line of Business on alert status, impact assessment, investigation progress, and expected resolution timelines. b. Translate technical issues into simple, business-understandable language. 4. Initial Impact & Root Cause Analysis a. Perform initial analysis to determine whether issues originate from upstream systems, downstream systems, or within AML applications. b. Validate data using basic SQL queries and report checks to identify mismatches, missing data, or duplication. c. Share preliminary findings with application and vendor teams for deeper investigation. 5. SLA Tracking & Escalation a. Monitor incident timelines and SLAs closely. b. Proactively escalate issues when resolution timelines or business impact thresholds are at risk. 6. Vendor & Third-Party Application Support a. Work closely with vendors supporting AML and risk applications to troubleshoot issues, apply fixes, and track resolution. b. Coordinate testing and confirmation once vendor changes are implemented. 7. Testing & Change Validation a. Execute functional, regression, and integration testing for changes introduced by vendors, firewall teams, DBAs, and infrastructure teams. b. Validate changes in lower environments and provide production readiness confirmation. 8. Production Support & Stability a. Ensure AML and risk applications remain stable, available, and accurate in production. b. Support daily operations, batch processing, report generation, and alert flows. 9. Application Decommissioning & Data Retention a. Support decommissioning of legacy applications and servers by identifying dependencies and validating data archival. b. Coordinate with Data Retention teams to ensure structured data retention and compliance requirements are met. 10. Documentation & Knowledge Management a. Create and maintain runbooks, test plans, test cases, incident reports, and operational documentation. b. Ensure documentation supports consistent support, faster incident resolution, and audit readiness.
