Job Summary The Sr. Business Strategist, Research plays a critical role in supporting the Director Customer Insights, Research and VOC in the department's objective to champion the needs, behaviors, expectations of our customer to enhance the customer experience throughout the customer journey. Looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to provide leadership for the customer insights function. The Sr. Business Strategist will define the roadmap, provide recommendations and relevant insights to directly influence business and brand strategy, resident offerings and marketing communication and collateral. Responsible to manage all stages of the research process, presentation and share-out of results across the organization. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Define and own a rigorous, insight driven research strategy that guides decision-making and delivers a comprehensive understanding of customers' needs across the full end-to-end journey Lead and execute multi-method qualitative and quantitative research including the development of project briefs, surveys, moderator guides, screener questionnaires; synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders Leverage User Testing platform to lead and manage research that will optimize Customer Digital experience, partnering with UX/UI Designer, UX Researcher and cross-functional teams Manage and prioritize a portfolio of concurrent research initiatives, ensuring high-quality outputs, timely delivery and alignment with business priorities and impact goals Serve as a strategic thought leader to the organization, ensuring the right research questions are being asked and proactively identifying opportunities, risks and unmet customer needs revealed through insights Continually advance category thought-leadership and insights by providing and updating foundational customer, category and market knowledge while also leveraging primary and 3rd party syndicated research Education and/or Experience Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Customer Behavior, Research or related field or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in customer insights, research and data strategy Proven work experience in leading, developing strategies and executing Market Research across a variety of research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, Brand and Satisfaction monitoring, and UX/UI testing) Required Licenses or Certifications N/A Skills/Specialized Knowledge Expertise in leading and executing custom qualitative and quantitative research. Broad toolkit that will include a variety of research methods including A&U, Segmentation, conjoint, focus groups, UX/UI, concept/positioning testing, and work with customer trackers (brand & Voice of the Customer, NPS and CES) Experience with User Testing, Qualtrics, Quantum Metric, Tableau and the Microsoft Suite Ability to connect the dots and identify trends. Expertise in persuasively presenting research in an engaging way to all audiences, including Executive team. Critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop strategies and research to solve for customer insights challenges and opportunities, along with developing relationships and influencing key stakeholders. A visionary that can spot industry or competitive trends. Excels at both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Keen ability to decipher information and analytic skills to segment, mine and analyze research data and build out recommendations. Desire to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. Solid business acumen, strong project management and problem-solving skills: strong understanding of how to translate and scope business questions into research Excellent relationship builder & interpersonal skills with collaborative team player mentality Other Requirements Must maintain professional appearance Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis Physical and Mental Demands This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate. Work Environment Standard office working environment that may be busy and noisy at times. Salary Range The salary range for this position is: $94,500.00 - $163,800.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
