Diesel Engine Technician

Join our dynamic team at SRM Concrete as a Diesel Engine Technician! We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced professional who will be instrumental in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including trucks, mixers, and heavy machinery used in the concrete industry. Your work will be crucial in ensuring our fleet runs smoothly, safely, and reliably to meet project demands and delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance and thorough inspections on diesel engines and equipment, encompassing oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements. Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines and equipment. Utilize diagnostic tools to pinpoint problems and determine the necessary repairs. Rebuild, replace, or repair key components of diesel engines, such as heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions. Team up with the operations crew to plan maintenance and repairs to reduce downtime. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures in both the workshop and on job sites. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. Stay informed about the latest diesel engine technologies and repair practices. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience as a Diesel Mechanic, ideally within the concrete or related industries. Deep understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic mechanisms, and electrical systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail. Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Dedication to upholding safety standards and practices. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel engine repair is a plus. A valid driver's license; CDL is preferred. Willingness to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings.
