Job #: 147273 Title: Production Assembler Location: North Charleston, SC Salary Range: 28.05 Position: Assembler (NOC) Description: Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. The role involves collaborating with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and team leaders to mitigate performance risks, identifying roadblocks and production constraints, and supporting process improvements using Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS), 5S activities, KPI, and BPS principles. The technician contributes to overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring, supporting overtime as required, and modeling a culture of One Team, Pride, and Ownership. A minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1+ year experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English. 1+ year experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, or other specialized computer applications. Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).U.S. Citizenship required. #Preferred Skills1 year of aerospace experience preferred. #Job Duties & Functions Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Collaborate with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate performance risks using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies. Identify roadblocks and production constraints and escalate issues that cannot be resolved by the team. Use KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environment. Support overtime as required to meet customer commitments. Participate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities.Provide cross-training and mentoring to teammates to improve overall team performance. #Physical Requirements & Environment Ability to meet physical demands, including flexion/extension of the head, handling, kneeling, bending, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting, walking, climbing/balancing, crawling, crouching/squatting.
