All Locations: Tualatin, OR, Irvine, CA , Houston, TX, Overland Park, KS, Denver, CO, Bloomington, MN, Ann Arbor, MI, Raleigh, NC, Orlando, FL A leading U.S. engineering firm is seeking a senior-level transmission line engineer to lead complex overhead transmission projects and mentor engineering teams. This role is heavily focused on structural design and offers strong compensation and long-term growth.Requirements 8–12+ years of overhead transmission line design experience (69kV+ required) PLS-CADD experience required Experience with 500kV+ projects strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (other engineering degrees considered) PE license preferredTechnical Focus ~90% structural engineering (foundations, framing, materials) Experience with steel, wood, laminate, and composite structures Lattice tower experience is a plus EPC and/or utility services experience preferredKey Responsibilities Lead engineering execution for large or multi-project transmission programs Prepare and review complex engineering deliverables and calculations Manage budgets, schedules, and quality across disciplines Lead and mentor engineering teams; provide PLS-CADD training Serve as technical lead and responsible charge on projects Interface with clients and support pursuit/business development effortsPreferred Experience U.S. investor-owned utility transmission projects Strong understanding of PLS-CADD, line routing, structural loading, and foundation design Experience coordinating with procurement, permitting, land, and construction teams Proposal support and engineering cost estimating experienceLocations Preferred: OR, CA, TX, KS, CO, MN, MI, NC, FL (Open to candidates near other major U.S. engineering offices)Compensation Up to $150000 - $200,000 base salary Bonus, ESOP, and full benefits Compensation: $150,000-$200,000 per year
