Position Overview The primary role of a CDL Delivery Driver is to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and Federal and State regulations. Your responsibility will be to ensure the safe and undamaged delivery of all freight while contributing to a collaborative environment and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of the truck and trailer before operation to guarantee safety. Load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload them at various commercial and residential job sites. Deliver materials as directed, ensuring your safety and the safety of those around you. Maintain accurate records for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Report any accidents involving company equipment or yourself. Lift heavy building materials weighing over 100 lbs during loading and unloading processes. Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. A minimum of a Class B license is required; Class A is highly preferred. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the last three years. Familiarity with Department of Transportation regulations is essential. Core Competencies Exhibit trust and integrity in all actions. Physical Requirements Ability to remain stationary while driving a commercial vehicle for approximately 40% of the time. Capability to lift heavy materials up to 80 lbs during loading and unloading. Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs during deliveries. Constantly transport materials from vehicles to job sites. Regularly operate commercial motor vehicles and boom equipment. Frequent positioning to unload building materials. Ability to judge distances accurately when delivering materials or operating equipment. Communicate effectively with both management and coworkers. Work outdoors routinely while making deliveries. Cognitive Skills Required Ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively. Manage stress related to customer deadlines. The base salary for this role typically ranges from $0.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on factors such as the specific position, location, education, training, and/or experience.
