Electrical Maintenance Technician

Service Center Metals, located in Prince George, VA is a leader in the aluminum industry, and we are hiring for an experienced multi-crafted Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician who will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Prince George plant. Candidate requirements: Must have at least 3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting and commercial electrical experience Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components such as motors, generators, and automation systems Repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical equipment Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures Experience using test equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues Experience in Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, and Welding & Fabricating Work well in a team environment at a fast pace Be dependable and accountable Work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/3 to 5 days-per-week, alternating every other weekend including overtime Lift up to 75 pounds or more on a regular basis Able to reach, stoop, bend, and be physical throughout a work shift Work effectively in very hot and cold temperatures Have excellent math and verbal skills High School Graduate or GED preferred Preferred qualifications: Works well as a member of a group Shows firm and constant support to a cause Inspires teammates to follow them Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking Shows eagerness and willingness to help others and get the job completed Capable of carrying out a given task well with all details necessary Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Inspired to perform without outside help Inspired to perform well by the chance to take on more responsibility Shows initiative with taking classes in electrical, mechanical, automation control systems Service Center Metals is a leading manufacturer dedicated to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
