Pro-Soccer Internship - Summer 2026

Aequus Sports, LLC (Spokane Zephyr FC & Spokane Velocity FC) is looking for multiple FOR CREDIT ONLY interns in the Summer of 2026 (unpaid). Candidates must be current college students or entering their junior/senior year and be able to dedicate 10-20 hours per week to the internship, with flexible scheduling around their academic commitments. At Aequus Sports, we know the importance and impact an internship can have academically and in future career opportunities. Within our organization, there are multiple fields and areas in which students can gain real work experience to grow their understanding of their field of study. Strong verbal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential skills for this position. The successful candidate should be dependable, have reliable transportation, be able to handle multiple tasks and work long hours (evenings, weekends & holidays included). Interns will experience sports through multiple departments of the Aequus Sports organization. Within our internship program, we will work with you to structure your duties to meet your school requirements and interests. Like all staff at Aequus Sports, you will be asked to provide cross-functional support in many fields and departments across the club. All interns must complete a background check and sign a Confidentiality Agreement for Aequus Sports properties. Commitments Time: Interns must commit to a minimum 5 month window and be available to work ALL game days from May - August 2026 (some exceptions may apply depending on school schedule and prior written notice of an approved absence. Summer 2026 Internship timeline Applications Open: February 16, 2026 Applications Close: March 27, 2026 Selection Process: March 28 - April 10 Interviews: Week of April 13 Onboarding & Start: End of April/Beginning of May Workplace expectations: Interns must attend every Spokane Zephyr FC & Spokane Velocity FC home game within their commitment window, + additional pre-game meeting office hours (unless pre-approved absence). Sat, May 9 Sun, May 10 Sat, May 16 Sun, May 17 Sun, May 24 Sat, June 6 Sat, June 20 Wed, June 24 Wed, July 1 Wed, July 22 Sat, July 25 Sat, Aug 15 Sat, Aug 22 Sun, Sep 13 Sun, Sep 20 Interns should be motivated to represent the Aequus Sports brand. Interns will attend pre-game prep meetings & have regularly scheduled front-office hours. Interns will gain experience across multiple fields, but the departments with the highest needs are: Soccer Operations Equipment Management Match Day & Show Assistance Marketing and Social Media Ticketing & Sales Partnerships Most Common Studies & Majors of Interns (not all listed): Sports Management Marketing Event Planning Communications Journalism Photography/Videography Graphic Designers Business Finance Theatre Production Sports Medicine Athletic Training Interns may have additional opportunities to assist in USL Spokane community events. Interns may fulfill duties including, but not limited to, gameday setup & teardown, club ambassador, field prep, game themes, general operations, hospitality representatives, stat tracking, fulfillment tracking, digital marketing, and more. Specialty Positions: USL Spokane is also seeking interns for specialty positions, including: Photographers: Shoot action during home matches for marketing/news purposes Videographers: Shoot action during home matches for marketing/news purposes Live Shots for video board (for more information contact directly) News & Content Writer: Prepare pre-match materials such as game notes for media and broadcast partners, watch home (in stadium) and away matches (streaming) and submit post-match story Fan Engagement and Promotions Social Media Specialist Media Relations Desired Qualifications: All majors related to Sports, Production, Business, Sales, and Communications are welcome to apply. Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette. Ability to stay organized, work independently, multi-task, and handle a variety of projects. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
