Recovery Residential Specialist

The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Recovery Residential Specialist (RRS) to join our team! The Recovery Residential specialist (RRS) will work within a group home setting with clients overcoming addiction. CHD's Aster House serves members of the community who are living with a duel diagnosis of mental health and addiction. This distinctive therapeutic setting is meant to be a bridge to a more permanent setting or independent living. Responsibilities include: Provide direct services to program clients that live in a group home setting in the community. Supporting clients' activities of daily living, administering medications as needed, advocating for individuals' within various community settings, Providing opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery. Develop professional and supportive relationships with clients and provide informal counseling and guidance with a person-centered focus. Qualifications: Have a high level of emotional intelligence and understanding of people living with addiction, mental illness and in recovery. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; strong interpersonal skills; empathy for others; demonstrated commitment to serving those with significant needs; ability to work well within a team model and independently. Computer skills necessary. Must have a vehicle for work use and current driver's license; ability to complete medication administration training All candidates must complete and pass background record screening process.
