Position: Marketing & Outreach Intern Location: Fredericksburg, VA Job Type: Internship Key Responsibilities:Community Outreach & Provider Relations Serve as an outreach liaison to strengthen and maintain relationships with community providers and referral sources. Serve as an outreach liaison to help market and engage with community-related events Develop and maintain a matrix of mental health providers and community organizations for referral and partnership opportunities. Assist the clinic management team in organizing and tracking outreach activities. Marketing & Social Media Support creation and scheduling of organic and templated social media content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) to highlight services and community engagement. Manage and optimize the use of existing tools (such as Uberall) for scheduled posting and brand consistency. Event Support & Staff Engagement Assist in organizing quarterly or bi-monthly staff engagement and team-building events. Support promotional activities, workshops, and community education events. HR & Compliance Support Provide input on HR policies and handbook revisions, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws. Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for policy updates and improvements. Event Support & Staff Engagement Assist with planning details for quarterly or bi-monthly staff engagement and team-building events. Support promotional activities, workshops, and community education events. Qualifications: Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with social media platforms, marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Soci, Mailchimp), and content scheduling systems. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Creative thinker with a passion for community connection and mental health advocacy. HR knowledge or coursework experience preferred.
