Plant Controller

The Plant Controller supports and is part of the Visalia Management team overseeing the accounting functions for the location including but not limited to accounting and controls, costing, forecasting, budgeting and management weekly/bi-weekly and monthly reporting. A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With: • Business partner to Plant Manager • Track and report of total plant operations, provide key insight to Plant Manager and team on performance KPIs • Assist in developing standard costs for products produced at their location • Analysis, reporting and budgeting of fixed expenses • Support overall budgeting and planning processes • Assist in developing costs and cost standards for new products and processes • Ensure integrity and accuracy of data systems • Daily, weekly and monthly activities to support financial plant operations reporting • Monthly closing responsibilities including but not limited to journal entries, variance calculations, and inventory reporting • Assist with detail requests for Costing information in plant operations activities • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for assigned accounts What You Must Know | Education and Experience: • 4-year Accounting degree or equivalent • 4+ years of Plant Controller role and/or related cost accounting experience What You Need to Be Good At | Competencies and Skills: • Strong proficiency in Excel, Access and SAP preferred • Self-motivated and deadline oriented • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership • Attention to detail required • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial analysis • Interact effectively with cross functional teams and internal department staff Your Working Relationships | Leadership: Must gain support and commitment from within plant operations and financial department along with corporate organization
