Job Responsibilities Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and formulate personalized therapy strategies to help achieve functional goals. Team Collaboration: Work in concert with OTs, PTs, SLPs, physicians, and nurses to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care. Patient and Caregiver Education: Instruct patients and their families on therapy techniques for sustained progress in everyday life. Documentation and Outcome Monitoring: Keep track of patient progress and modify treatment approaches to keep them on track. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Encouragement and support for ongoing education or post-graduate certification. Licensure Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is necessary. Essential Skills A genuine desire to uplift others and help them achieve their fullest independence. Effective, compassionate communication with patients and team members alike. Creative thinking skills to adapt plans to diverse needs and challenges.
