Design tailored treatment strategies to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions addressing various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage in collaborative care by working closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers. Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress beyond the clinical setting. Participate in infrequent inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a smooth continuum of care. Maintain thorough and timely documentation that adheres to organizational and regulatory standards. Stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with your peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you're not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
