Summary The Student Life Center Associate supports the daily operations of the Student Life Center by overseeing student access, ensuring compliance with the Student Code of Conduct, and maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. This role is responsible for monitoring equipment usage, managing inventory, and reporting maintenance concerns to ensure accountability and operational efficiency. The position also contributes to student engagement efforts by assisting with event planning and promotion, conducting campus tours for prospective students, and supporting recruitment initiatives. Additionally, the Student Life Center Associate provides customer service support at the Information Desk and assists with campus resources such as the Grab & Go and Food Pantry areas. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Monitor and manage student check-in and check-out for the game room, ensuring a valid student ID is presented and verified Monitor student behavior in Student Life Center to ensure compliance with the Sandhills Community College Student Code of Conduct Perform end-of-day cleaning and organization of game room equipment Maintain positive atmosphere by building relationships with students Keep inventory of game room and intramural equipment Ensure equipment is only used and checked out by current SCC students with a current SCC ID Notify Director of Student Life and Recruitment immediately of any equipment damage or missing items Assist with the planning, organizing, and executing Student Life/Recruitment events Develop creative promotional materials for student events, utilizing online platforms and campus resources Conduct campus tours for prospective students Assist with cleaning and restocking the Grab & Go and Food Pantry areas Provide support to the Sandhills Community College Information Desk with student IDs, parking passes, and textbook pickup as needed College-Wide Competencies: INTEGRITY- Demonstrates a strong commitment to ethical behavior, honesty, and transparency in all interactions within the college. Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Physical demands: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time Position occasionally requires lifting and maneuvering large equipment and/or supplies.
