SALARY RANGE - This position is part of the union, and the wage is established by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Current Rate is $27.77/hour. The Golf Cart Mechanic is responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of Golf Carts and maintenance of vehicles. Essential FunctionsMust adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Repair Carts and vehicles in a safe and acceptable state of repair. To follow up, schedule, dispatch and repair all deficiencies. Follow up and ensure that all work orders are dispatched, assigned, and completed. To ensure all parts and supply inventories are accounted for, documented, and submitted to Director of Engineering before the last day of each month or when requested. Ensure that the resort is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Ensure that all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per resort standards or authority having jurisdiction. Actively participate in energy conservation programs per Silverado Resort’s standards. Ensure that productivity is fully documented for yourself and team members to ensure maximum productivity is being achieved. Repair and maintain electric golf carts at golf courses or in automotive repair shop, using hand tools electrical testing devices. Determine type of repairs required by reading work orders, talking to cart operator, or test-driving cart. Rewire electrical systems, and repairs or replaces electrical accessories, like horn headlights. Test, recharge, or replace batteries. Lubricate moving parts and adjust brakes belts. Work on resort vehicles as needed and perform minor repairs. Perform structural repairs to body of cart, seats, and fabric tops. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. QualificationsPrevious experience in a similar capacity is preferred. At least three years progressive experience in a resort or related field preferred. Working Conditions and ScheduleFlexible and long hours sometimes required. Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed. Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures, including temperatures above 100° F. Must be able to use hand tools. Work requires exposure to chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, slippery/unstable/unlevel working surfaces. This role requires operating a golf cart. SVR Management II LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
