Job SummaryPOSITION ANNOUNCEMENTJob Title: Summer Camp Nurse(s) Opening Date: February 11, 2026 Closing Date: Until filled FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Salary: Hourly Expected Workday: As defined by the Community Education Director Terms of Employment: Part-Time/Temporary Reports To: Camp Boaz Site Director Job Goals: • To maintain a climate of health and well-being within Camp Boaz Qualifications: • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) /(RN) • Must complete the fingerprinting and background check process • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions: • Investigates individual health problems of all students and consults with appropriate agencies for treatment then follow-up and submits any required reports • Administer first aid in accordance with established first aid procedures and state guidelines • Monitor all diabetic students and administer all medication, injections as needed • Assume authority, in the absence of a physician, for the care of a student or staff member who has suffered an injury or emergency illness • Prepare and submit reports for the Lead School Nurse • Advise teachers on health matters, particularly regarding screening for student health defects • Assist school personnel in establishing sanitary conditions in schools • Other duties as may be assigned by the Principal Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boaz City Board of Education.
