Procurement Specialist 3

Job Title: Construction Procurement Specialist 3 Location: Fayetteville, GA (Onsite) Pay Range: $25/hr. - $30/hr. Duration: 6 months Job Summary: The Procurement Specialist 3 will lead and manage sourcing strategies within defined categories or sub-categories, engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver effective procurement solutions. This role includes overseeing the sourcing process, preparing materials and reports for management, and providing procurement guidance to business areas. Key Responsibilities: Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement category strategies, plans, and sourcing processes. Maintain deep knowledge of business drivers and understand their impact on procurement strategies. Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies, processes, and best practices. Manage key sourcing activities for projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and risk management. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers while identifying new potential partners. Monitor compliance with the sourcing process and act as an internal consultant for all stages. Develop category or sub-category strategies, sourcing pipelines, and procurement plans. Handle supplier management, expediting, purchase order administration, and internal stakeholder alignment. Support construction-related procurement including contracts, equipment purchasing, and contract administration. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Analytical and decision-making skills Understanding of procurement, sourcing techniques, and supply chain management Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in construction-related projects Ability to learn quickly and grow within a team environment Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience 5-7 years of procurement or purchasing experience 3+ years of experience in construction contracting equipment procurement, contract administration, or construction purchasing Prior experience as a junior buyer at firms like Skanska, Bechtel, Turner, Fluor, PLC, etc., is highly desirable Opportunity to gain data center market experience If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
