Job Title: Software Design Engineer 1 Duration: 12+ Months(W2 Only) Location: Redmond, W Remote(Hybrid Preferred) Job Description: Join us in building a groundbreaking knowledge library that uses human curation and AI to democratize UX research and design knowledge. The Human Insight Tracking System, HITS is a transformative knowledge management system for revolutionizing how research is analyzed, captured, shared, and utilized within product teams to make data informed decisions. Job Responsibilities • Reproduce and remediate reported user issues by developing, testing, and deploying bug fixes across a mixture of front-end and back-end service code. • Implement and deploy security hardening for the .NET & Azure services to provided specifications. • Provide technical support to users and coordinate with customer service PM. • Develop, test, and deploy feature enhancements in partnership with PM & UX. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required. • 2+ years of experience required. • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. • Large systems software development, and support experience, ideally in .NET, Azure, and front-end React development. • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting with both new and legacy production systems. • Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution. Nice-to-Have Skills for a Full Stack Engineer Frontend Development • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript. • Experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries like React. Backend Development • Experience with server-side frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC. • Proficiency in RESTful API design and GraphQL. • Knowledge of authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT). Database Management • Familiarity with databases like SQL Server and Cosmos DB. • Understanding of database optimization and indexing. Cloud Services & DevOps • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools. • Prior experience with Azure services such as Application Gateway, API Management, WebApps, FunctionApps, LogicApps, App Insights, Cognitive Search etc. Candidate Requirements • Years of Experience Required: 2+years overall experience in the field • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field • Disqualifiers: Not meeting job requirements • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience with large system software development and support, ideally in .NET, Azure, and front-end development • As much azure as possible would be beneficial • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on problem resolution, quality of work, and independence Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience 1. Minimum 2 years experience with .NET and Azure services 2. Minimum 2 years experience with front-end development, such as React JS 3. Experience in troubleshooting and technical support Hard Skills Assessments • Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ideally completed by June 25 • Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include technical screens • Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should have experience with the specified technologies and be prepared for technical support scenarios
