May have to work extended hours or weekend hours to support University activities. On occasion will assist the Building Maintenance crew and with setups. Exact work hours may be modified/variable to fit the season of the year. Can work up to 40 hours during summer break. Job Search Category Student Employee Position Description Advertised Job Summary Under supervision from the Director of Building & Landscape Services, is responsible for the preparation, management, and beautification of the campus. Perform the following functions on the campus: Prune and trim trees and shrubs Pick up and remove litter, leaves, and debris Weed both mechanically and chemically Plant, water, fertilize shrubs, flowers, trees, etc. Remove snow and ice from walks and roads Assist in maintenance of grounds equipment, tools, etc. In all functions, material that is mowed/pruned/cut/etc. is recycled (mulched, composted, etc.) Qualifications Must be a currently enrolled student at USC Upstate. Student must have a valid driver's license with good driving record. Excellent communication and work ethic required.
