Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic X-RayProfession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: X-Ray Technologist (Diagnostic) Employment Type: Contract - 13 Weeks Shift: Mid Shift | 5x8-Hour (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Call/Weekend Requirement: Eligible for call and weekends Location: Syracuse, New York Position Summary A large acute care facility in Central New York is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations under the direction of radiologists. The technologist will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to departmental protocols and radiation safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians Greet and properly identify patients prior to procedures Explain imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort Position patients accurately to obtain optimal image quality Select appropriate exposure factors to produce diagnostic-quality images Practice radiation safety and protection standards Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions Process images and ensure proper documentation Enter patient and exam information into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing Follow departmental policies and procedural protocols Required Qualifications Associate degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent Current New York State license/registration Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist Knowledge of imaging equipment operation and radiation safety Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance For more details reach at Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807.
