Maintenance mechanic

We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Mechanic who is as comfortable with a multimeter as they are with a pipe wrench. Our facility relies on precision equipment, and we need a technician who can keep our Bridgeports, Surface Grinders, and CNC Press Brakes running at peak performance. If you understand the mechanics of a spindle and the logic of a control circuit, you belong on our team. salary: $50,000 - $68,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Machine Repair: Diagnose and repair manual and CNC machinery, including Bridgeports (mills), surface grinders, and hydraulic/electric press brakes. Electrical Troubleshooting: Identify and fix electrical faults, including motors, switches, relays, sensors, and basic control wiring (up to 480V). Precision Maintenance: Perform spindle rebuilds, way-wiper replacements, and lead screw adjustments to maintain machining accuracy. Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Service the high-pressure systems and valves that power our press brakes and grinding equipment. Preventative Maintenance: Execute a rigorous PM schedule to extend the life of our toolroom and production assets. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all machinery meets safety standards and follow strict LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures. What You Bring to the Table Experience: 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, specifically working with toolroom machinery (Mills, Lathes, Grinders). Dual Skill Set: strong mechanical aptitude paired with a solid electrical background (reading schematics is a must). Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ball screws, hydraulic leveling, and belt-drive systems. Problem Solving: The ability to look at a downed press brake and systematically narrow down the cause-whether it's a blown fuse or a leaky seal.
