Compounding TechnicianLocation: Brentwood, NY (On?Site) Schedule: Full-Time Overview Our client is seeking a hands?on Compounding Technician to support the mixing and preparation of bulk materials used in manufacturing. This role works closely with the Materials Department and involves weighing, blending, and handling raw ingredients, as well as maintaining equipment and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail?oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Follow detailed manufacturing instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines Complete batch records and required production documentation Weigh and measure raw materials-liquids and solids-using automated dispensing systems or manual scales Assist in operating mixing kettles, mills, and various mixers used in material compounding Pull bulk samples for laboratory testing Clean and sanitize kettles, mixers, utensils, and compounding rooms daily Move raw materials and finished goods between compounding, staging, and packaging areas Support packaging operations by setting up filling equipment when needed Clean and maintain mixing and filling equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule Lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and push drums on wheels Train on and operate motorized forklifts Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies Assist in the packaging department during downtime Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy Read, understand, and follow SOPs and employee guidelines Qualifications 1-3 years of compounding, mixing, or related manufacturing experience preferred (not required) High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred Basic math skills and familiarity with the metric system Strong communication skills-written and verbal Excellent organizational and planning abilities Reliable, self?motivated, and able to follow written instructions Commitment to safety, accuracy, and meeting production goals Consistent attendance and punctuality Working Conditions Occasional overtime before or after scheduled shifts Long periods of standing with some sitting Steel?toed boots required (partial reimbursement provided) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push heavy drums PPE required, including respirators when handling certain raw materials Occasional forward reaching; rare overhead reaching Exposure to machinery noise-ear plugs encouraged Repetitive hand motions required for certain tasks Travel None Additional Duties Perform general cleaning, sanitizing, and other departmental tasks as needed Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $48,000.00 - $48,000.00
