CNC Maintenance & Automation Controls Technician - 2nd ShiftLocation: Syracuse, NY Multiple OpeningsShift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) Compensation: $39.04 per hour ($81,203 base) + Overtime Eligible We are seeking CNC Maintenance & Automation Technicians to join a premier manufacturing facility in Syracuse. This is not a general repair role; it is a high-level technical position focused on the precision maintenance, electronic troubleshooting, and automated sequences of CNC machinery. You will act as the primary technical resource for keeping our advanced machining centers operational. Key Responsibilities Automation Troubleshooting: Use a basic understanding of PLC/Ladder Logic to diagnose machine cycle failures and restore automated sequences. Electronics Repair: Troubleshoot and repair defective printed circuit assembly (PCA) boards and electrical mechanisms using complex schematics. Mechanical Precision: Perform complete teardowns and reassemblies of damaged mechanical mechanisms, ensuring all repairs meet close-tolerance manufacturer standards. System Calibration: Conduct electrical test operations and adjust high-precision equipment to required specifications. Strategic Maintenance: Interpret complex manuals, blueprints, and industrial motor control schematics to execute preventative and reactive repairs. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience (or 1 year plus a related technical degree). Skills: Hands-on proficiency with ladder logic circuit diagrams and industrial motor control schematics. Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Journeyman status or Military Electronics training highly valued). Legal: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Specialization: Direct experience in CNC-specific maintenance and machining equipment. Academic: Two-year degree in Electronics or a related technical field. Fluid Power: Experience with industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
