Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a traditional outpatient clinic setting, serving individuals and families within the community. In this position, the provider will deliver comprehensive primary care services within a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities include conducting routine assessments, developing care plans, performing evaluations and follow-up visits, and supporting patients in maintaining their overall health. The role requires close collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical team members to ensure coordinated and efficient care. The provider will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record and participating in quality improvement efforts while upholding practice standards and compliance requirements. This position is based in an outpatient clinic in the Sequatchie Valley region. The work environment emphasizes continuity of care, relationship-building with patients, and a team-based approach to community health. Education: Required: Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the American Academy of Physician Assistant. BS/BA required or RN with a Master's degree in nursing certification in family and/or adult nurse practitioner. Graduate of a nationally accredited school of nursing Experience: Preferred: One to three years' experience in primary care setting. Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants. Performs under current legislation of the State of Tennessee (HB 1601, Public Chapter #719) Department Position Summary: An allied health professional, employed by Erlanger Health Systems, who performs as a physician extender by providing direct and indirect patient care (both inpatient and outpatient) under orders of the attending physician and within the guidelines of the current legislation of the State of Tennessee. Employee will have significant interaction with residents and faculty of UT Family Practice Residency Program, thus allowing the program to be an additional training tool in the area of preparing residents to work with physician extenders The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate of the age of the patients served by UT Family Practice Center. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide care needed as described in the center's policies and procedures.
