Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician - Great Pay & Benefits!SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as Stamping machines, Molding machines, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic systems. Realigns and adjusts components. Locates damaged air and hydraulic lines on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new lines. Starts machine and equipment to test operation following repair. Repairs broken parts Sets and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, mill, or grinder, to make or repair parts. Modifies computer - controlled motion robot. Replaces, modifies, and maintains electrical equipment and components. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent, a degree in plastic technology or mold tooling a plus. Basic knowledge of injection molding. Multi-tasking ability a necessity. Ability to use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, comparators, etc.) Must be able to converse and write in English using technical terms for the plastics industry. Working knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, English/metric conversions, and simple application geometry. Should be able to make advanced decisions concerning quality, machine operation, and processing/die adjustments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to see small defects with the aid of a microscope. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and 125 lbs occasionally. Ability to bend and lift bins of finished parts.
