Introduction Bring your financial skills and experience to the Division of Transportation Investment Management, Bureau of Aeronautics as a Financial Specialist - Senior! This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, WI at least 2 days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview. Position Summary In this position, you will assist in project funding requests for federal, state, and sponsor funds including reporting of grant expenditure reports and timely project financial closeouts. You will support the administration of federal grants by developing and maintaining reports for non-primary entitlement monitoring and reconciliation. Other duties include: Setting up new airport development projects in the department's financial operating system. Developing and maintaing financial statements for airport development projects. Assist the Airport Accountant and Financial Specialist - Advanced to reconcile and process State Aid project closeouts. Perform additional accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing duties. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (02-13). Starting pay is $26.08/hr, plus excellent benefits . A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. Job Details This state agency does not sponsor work visas. Qualifications Qualified applicants will have all the following: Experience following and referencing financial principles and/or procedures. Experience preparing and maintaining project financial reports Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel software or similar. In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will have one or more of the following: Experience performing account reconciliations. Experience managing federal grant funds.
