Description 30-40 hours/week providing individual and family behavioral health services in our Child and Family Counseling Clinic. HOW WE SERVE FAMILIES: We believe that children deserve safe spaces to be heard, and to heal their trauma. We believe families can be strengthened. We believe generational trauma can be interrupted and healed. We believe that child abuse is preventable. Our therapists support the children and families who need it the most: families with FY&C involvement, Latine families, pregnant and postpartum parents, victims of crime and abuse, children 0-5, and families at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. We serve families that want to make the lives of their children and themselves better but may lack the resources, knowledge, or support to do that. By intervening early, meeting families where they are with respect and dignity, and coming from a strengths based perspective in our work - we help. By using a trauma informed approach, working relationally, strengthening attachment, and providing parenting support - we help. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: This position is open to licensed clinicians (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psy.D., Ph.D.) and registered associates (AMFT, ACSW, APCC). Associate therapists are provided with group and individual supervision by a clinical supervisor as required by their licensing board. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience in the mental health field in a therapist role. Experience in a social service or non-profit mental health agency. Experience working with children, adolescents, and parents/caregivers. Experience with children 0-5 and pregnant/postpartum folks strongly preferred. Knowledge and understanding of professional, legal and ethical obligations. Ability to perform age appropriate psychosocial/diagnostic assessments for clients and families. Ability to integrate assessment findings and translate them into treatment goals. Willingness to take on additional tasks and remain flexible and adaptable to change. Knowledge and experience working with diverse populations utilizing culturally competent, strength-based strategies. Carelon credentialed preferred. Proficient in PC programs, i.e. Windows and MS Word, Google Drive, Zoom Familiarity with EHR systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct initial assessment of new clients and develop client plans. Conduct individual and/or family sessions within the scope of practice and enter progress notes on a daily basis. Review, organize, update, and track client charts. Targeted case management. Follow program policies and procedures utilizing appropriate assessments and input from the clinical supervisor and treatment team. Participate in clinical supervision and group consultation to enhance professional growth and examine clinical work. Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines regarding all clients, conversations and referrals. Conduct therapy sessions in English or Spanish, according to the client's preference. Some travel in personal vehicle to offsite locations required on a weekly basis PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 25 lbs (supplies) Prolonged sitting and working on a computer and telephone. COMPENSATION: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on years of experience. The actual compensation offered may vary within the stated range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, departmental equity, and organizational needs.
