Position Summary: We are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead North America accounting operations with dotted-line support for international accounting operations. This strategic, hands-on leader will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and build scalable processes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The Controller partners closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders (Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehousing) to provide insight and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Development • Direct, mentor, and develop the North America accounting team; set clear expectations and create a culture of accountability and collaboration. • Establish and document accounting policies, procedures, and training to standardize work and improve consistency across entities. Financial Close, Reporting, and Consolidation • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; ensure results are accurate, supported, and delivered on time. • Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP; support applicable IFRS requirements as needed. • Provide oversight and review for inventory valuation, COGS, and reserves; ensure reconciliations, cutoff, and controls are operating effectively. • Oversee revenue accounting for cutoff, completeness, and accuracy, including credits/returns/allowances as applicable. • Lead global consolidation activities including intercompany eliminations and balance sheet reconciliations; address foreign currency matters (as applicable). Controls, Compliance, and Audit • Design, implement, and improve internal controls to protect assets and support reliable financial reporting. • Lead audit preparation and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors; coordinate responses and issue resolution. • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and support tax, treasury, and insurance processes with internal and external partners. Systems and Process Improvement • Optimize NetSuite and related tools to improve workflow efficiency, reporting accuracy, and data integrity; drive automation, standardization, and documentation to scale the accounting function in partnership with IT and Operations. Planning and Business Partnership • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide actionable insights to guide business decisions. Qualifications Required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience with people leadership and team development. • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, close management, and financial statement preparation; IFRS knowledge is a plus. • ERP expertise (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to translate accounting detail into business insight. Preferred • Advanced accounting degree, MBA and/or or CPA designation • 5+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership role • International, Multi-entity and/or multi-currency consolidation and intercompany accounting experience. • ERP/financial systems implementation or close automation and reporting enhancements. • Food processing, warehousing, and/or supply chain finance experience in a high-volume environment.
